Dr. Sai Ganesh Pillai is a highly respected Consultant in General and Laparoscopic Surgery, with over two decades of international surgical experience. He completed his MBBS and MS in General Surgery from Trivandrum Medical College, Kerala, India.

Following his post-graduation, he underwent advanced training in Surgical Gastroenterology and Laparoscopic Surgery in the UK. He earned prestigious fellowships from both the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1997. In recognition of his outstanding performance and commitment, the Royal College of Surgeons, Glasgow awarded him a travelling fellowship to France, where he was mentored in advanced laparoscopic techniques by Mr. Marescoe, a pioneer in the field. He also had the opportunity to work with renowned surgeons such as Mr. Alfred Cuschieri.

Dr. Pillai spent over a decade in the UK, serving in reputed institutions including the Bristol Royal Infirmary, Royal Hospital Chesterfield, Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, and Ninewells Hospital & Medical School, Dundee. During his tenure, he gained extensive experience across multiple specialties including Surgical Gastroenterology, Oncology, Microvascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery, and Thoracic Surgery.

To date, Dr. Sai Ganesh Pillai has performed more than 15,000 major surgeries, ranging from routine procedures such as Appendectomies, Hernioplasties, and Laparoscopic Cholecystectomies, to complex surgeries like Esophagogastrectomies and Laparoscopy-assisted Abdominoperineal Resections.

He currently heads a chain of multi-speciality clinics under the banner of Saiganesh Medical Centre, with branches across Dubai and Sharjah. He also serves as a visiting consultant at leading hospitals, including Al Zahra Hospital, Sharjah.
